When using a rubber gasket for the HDPE stub ends, we can have two different types available.
One is full face type with holes drilling to the corresponding flange standards. The holes for flange bolts make it easy to be fixed during installation. When working on the pressure pipeline, this type of gasket can always be fixed on the sealing surface of the stub ends and avoid leakage caused by the displacement of the gasket in case of higher ambient temperature.
Another type has no holes ,with gasket OD value almost equal to the sealing surface OD. This is a cost effective type as well as universal type. It can work for flanges connection under different flange standards without considering the holes numbers or the PCD values.
